Day 31 ~ December Blessings: Strength of God
Strength is in God’s hand and He is the Mighty One.
SCRIPTURES
* Psalm 29:1, 11 “Ascribe to the Lord, O heavenly beings, ascribe to the Lord glory and strength….May the Lord give strength to His people! May the Lord bless His people with peace!
* Jeremiah 32:17, 26-27 “‘Ah, Lord God! It is You who have made the heavens and the earth by Your great power and by Your outstretched arm! Nothing is too hard for You…. The word of the Lord came to Jeremiah: ‘Behold, I am the Lord, the God of all flesh. Is anything too hard for Me?’”
* 2 Timothy 1:7 “For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.” (NKJV)
* Deuteronomy 31:6 “Be strong and courageous. Do not fear or be in dread of them, for it is the Lord your God who goes with you. He will not leave you or forsake you.”

* Zephaniah 3:17 “On that day it shall be said to Jerusalem: ‘Fear not, O Zion; let not your hands grow weak. The Lord your God is in your midst, a mighty One who will save; He will rejoice over you with gladness; He will quiet you by his love; He will exult over you with loud singing.’”
* Mark 5: 3-4, 8, 15 “He lived among the tombs. And no one could bind him anymore…No one had the strength to subdue him…For He [Jesus] was saying to him, ‘Come out of the man, you unclean spirit!’…And they came to Jesus and saw the demon-possessed man, the one who had had the legion, sitting there, clothed and in his right mind, and they were afraid.”
* Isaiah 40:10-11 “Behold, the Lord God comes with might, and His arm rules for Him; behold, His reward is with Him, and His recompense before Him. He will tend his flock like a shepherd; He will gather the lambs in His arms; He will carry them in His bosom, and gently lead those that are with young.

In a world of turmoil, God declares in Scripture He is One who rescues and saves.
SCRIPTURES
* Psalm 91:14-16 “Because he holds fast to Me in love, I will deliver him; I will protect him, because he knows My name. When he calls to Me, I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble; I will rescue him and honor him. With long life I will satisfy him and show him My salvation.”
* Isaiah 49:24-25 “Can the prey be taken from the mighty, or the captives of a tyrant be rescued? For thus says the Lord: ‘Even the captives of the mighty shall be taken, and the prey of the tyrant be rescued, for I will contend with those who contend with you, and I will save your children.’”
* Luke 19:10 “For the Son of Man came to seek and to save the lost.”
* 1 Sam 30:8, 18 “And David inquired of the Lord, ‘Shall I pursue after this band? Shall I overtake them?’ He answered him, ‘Pursue, for you shall surely overtake and shall surely rescue'…David recovered all that the Amalekites had taken, and David rescued his two wives.”
* Psalm 18:17-19 “He rescued me from my strong enemy and from those who hated me, for they were too mighty for me. They confronted me in the day of my calamity, but the Lord was my support. He brought me out into a broad place; He rescued me, because He delighted in me.”
* Acts 12:10-11 “When they had passed the first and the second guard, they came to the iron gate leading into the city. Be to me a rock of refuge, to which I may continually come; You have given the command to save me, for You are my rock and my fortress. Rescue me, O my God, from the hand of the wicked, from the grasp of the unjust and cruel man. For you, O Lord, are my hope, my trust, O Lord, from my youth.”
* Daniel 6:26-27 “I [King Darius] make a decree, that in all my royal dominion people are to tremble and fear before the God of Daniel, for He is the living God, enduring forever; His kingdom shall never be destroyed, and His dominion shall be to the end. He delivers and rescues; He works signs and wonders in heaven and on earth, He who has saved Daniel from the power of the lions.”

Sometimes God is moving in a direction we don’t fully understand yet…but we can set our “face toward” what He is doing.
