Love of the Savior Stories: Compassion & the Widow’s Son
(Luke 7:11-17)
As we travel this journey toward God, we will share brief stories at the end of the chapters titled Love of the Savior. These are true events, and the words Jesus speaks are directly from the Bible (ESV). The scenes are expanded to give us a sense of what it was like for the individuals experiencing the love and compassion of God. The biblical references show the place in the Bible where the story and Jesus’ words can be found.

Love: God’s Care (Chapter 3)
We continue on the journey to experience God’s love, value, and purpose in our lives. Sometimes we hear God loves us, but do we believe it? Today, we share more about experiencing God’s love and care for us.
Psalm 36: 5, 7 ~ “Your steadfast love, O Lord, extends to the heavens, your faithfulness to the clouds … How precious is your steadfast love, O God! The children of mankind take refuge in the shadow of your wings.
Isaiah 54:10 ~ “‘For the mountains may depart and the hills be removed, but my steadfast love shall not depart from you, and my covenant of peace shall not be removed,’ says the Lord, who has compassion on you.”
