Prayer Place: ISRAEL
God reveals prayers for Israel through traditional Hallel Hymn/Song of Psalms 113-118. “Hallel” means PRAISE. GOD is the One who loves, is faithful, and rescues His people who call upon His Name. Hallelujah!
Psalms 113-118: Notes about Hallel prayer
A hymn sung at Festivals, including Passover and a likely song/hymn Jesus and disciples sang before He went to pray in Gethsemane and the unfolding of His crucifixion and resurrection (Matthew 26:30).
Jesus praised God, His glory, and His everlasting, steadfast love, and proclaimed His love to the Father. Jesus offered praise knowing God's power would deliver him from ALL that he was about to face in the coming hours.
We Can Pray: God, we praise You for what You will do to protect Your people Israel in this moment of history. God, may Your global church also offer praise to You in advance of Your deliverance as a help and shield to Your people (Psa 115:9-11, 118:10-16). We ask for Your divine hand to bring Glory to Your Name with Your steadfast love, faithfulness, and presence. (Psa 115:1-2; 114:7).
* Psalms 114: 1-2, 7-8 ~ “When Israel went out from Egypt, the house of Jacob from a people of strange language, Judah became his [God’s] sanctuary, Israel his [God’s] dominion….Tremble, O earth, at the presence of the Lord, at the presence of the God of Jacob, who turns the rock into a pool of water, the flint into a spring of water.”
* Psalms 118:10-16 ~ “All nations surrounded me; in the name of the Lord I cut them off! They surrounded me, surrounded me on every side; in the name of the Lord I cut them off! They surrounded me like bees; they went out like a fire among thorns; in the name of the Lord I cut them off! I was pushed hard, so that I was falling, but the Lord helped me. The Lord is my strength and my song; He has become my salvation. Glad songs of salvation are in the tents of the righteous; ‘The right hand of the Lord does valiantly, the right hand of the Lord exalts, the right hand of the Lord does valiantly!”
* Psalms 115:1-2 ~ “Not to us, O Lord, not to us, but to your name give glory, for the sake of your steadfast love and your faithfulness! Why should the nations say, ‘Where is their God?’”
* Psalms 115: 9-11 ~ “O Israel, trust in the Lord! He is their help and their shield. O house of Aaron, trust in the Lord! He is their help and their shield. You who fear the Lord, trust in the Lord! He is their help and their shield.”

Passages mentioned:
Psalm 38 & 40; Luke 4:18-19
Highlighted Passages:
Psalm 40:1-5 - My Help and My Deliverer To the choirmaster. A Psalm of David.
“I waited patiently for the Lord; he turned to me and heard my cry. He lifted me out of the slimy pit, out of the mud and mire; He set my feet on a rock and gave me a firm place to stand. He put a new song in my mouth, a hymn of praise to our God. Many will see and fear the Lord and put their trust in him. Blessed is the one who trusts in the Lord, who does not look to the proud, to those who turn aside to false gods. Many, Lord my God, are the wonders you have done, the things you planned for us. None can compare with you; were I to speak and tell of your deeds, they would be too many to declare” (NIV).
Psalm 40:16-17 - “But may all who seek you rejoice and be glad in you; may those who love your salvation say continually, ‘Great is the Lord!’ As for me, I am poor and needy, but the Lord takes thought for me. You are my help and my deliverer; do not delay, O my God!” (ESV).

By Amy Myers
Love ~ Value ~ Purpose guides you to places of healing and hope, and lets you discover treasures you're not often encouraged to imagine. In this book, you can wonder about who you are, why you have areas of joy from long ago that seem inaccessible, or even disappointments…some from injury and others when we seek something that felt real but was just a moment of pleasure.
Love ~ Value ~ Purpose will take you on a journey to look at larger questions of “Why am I here?” and more personal questions of “Why do I think of myself this way?” Weaved throughout the book are stories of compassion, hope, and healing from true events.
You can know deep love.
You can find your value.
You can discover your life of purpose.
