Day 17 ~ December Blessings: Rejoice with God
May the Lord bring you a ‘garment of praise’ and the goodness of His peace.
SCRIPTURES
* Isaiah 61:3-4 “…to comfort all who mourn; to grant to those who mourn in Zion—to give them a beautiful headdress instead of ashes, the oil of gladness instead of mourning, the garment of praise instead of a faint spirit; that they may be called oaks of righteousness, the planting of the Lord, that He may be glorified.”
* Psalm 100 “Make a joyful noise to the Lord, all the earth! Serve the Lord with gladness! Come into His presence with singing! Know that the Lord, He is God! It isHhe who made us, and we are His; we are His people, and the sheep of His pasture. Enter His gates with thanksgiving, and His courts with praise! Give thanks to Him; bless His name! For the Lord is good; His steadfast love endures forever, and His faithfulness to all generations.”
* Isaiah 49:13 “Sing for joy, O heavens, and exult, O earth; break forth, O mountains, into singing! For the Lord has comforted His people and will have compassion on His afflicted.”
* Isaiah 55:12 “For you shall go out in joy and be led forth in peace; the mountains and the hills before you shall break forth into singing, and all the trees of the field shall clap their hands.”
* Genesis 1:26, 27 “Then God said, ‘Let us make man in Our image, after Our likeness… So God created man in His own image, in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them.”
* Psalm 5:11 “But let all who take refuge in You rejoice; let them ever sing for joy, and spread Your protection over them, that those who love Your name may exult in You.”
* Ephesians 5:18-20 “And do not get drunk with wine, for that is debauchery, but be filled with the Spirit, addressing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody to the Lord with your heart, giving thanks always and for everything to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ...”
* Colossians 3:16 “Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, teaching and admonishing one another in all wisdom, singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, with thankfulness in your hearts to God.”
* Nehemiah 8:10 “Then he said to them, ‘Go your way. Eat the fat and drink sweet wine and send portions to anyone who has nothing ready, for this day is holy to our Lord. And do not be grieved, for the joy of the Lord is your strength.’”

Day 15 ~ December Blessings: Distractions, Reactions, and Unsettled Days
In the days of seeing, experiencing, or feeling turbulence in our lives, may the fullness of peace be with you.
SCRIPTURES
* Luke 8:22-25 “One day he got into a boat with his disciples, and he said to them, 'Let us go across to the other side of the lake.' So they set out, and as they sailed he fell asleep. And a windstorm came down on the lake, and they were filling with water and were in danger. And they went and woke him, saying, 'Master, Master, we are perishing!' And he awoke and rebuked the wind and the raging waves, and they ceased, and there was a calm. He said to them, 'Where is your faith?' And they were afraid, and they marveled, saying to one another, 'Who then is this, that he commands even winds and water, and they obey him?'” (also Matthew 8:23-27; Mark 4:35-41)
* James 4:7 "Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.”
* Philippians 4:4-9 “Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, rejoice. Let your reasonableness be known to everyone. The Lord is at hand; do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things. What you have learned and received and heard and seen in me—practice these things, and the God of peace will be with you.”
* John 14:27 “Peace I leave with you; My peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid.”
* Psalm 29:4 “The voice of the Lord is powerful; the voice of the Lord is full of majesty.”
* 2 Thessalonians 3:16 “Now may the Lord of peace himself give you peace at all times in every way. The Lord be with you all.”

Day 14 ~ December Blessings: Silent Seeking
Blessing you with hope and encouragement to seek beautiful silence today and days ahead.
SCRIPTURES
* Revelation 21:10-11 “And he carried me away in the Spirit to a great, high mountain, and showed me the holy city Jerusalem coming down out of heaven from God, having the glory of God, its radiance like a most rare jewel, like a jasper, clear as crystal.”
* Mark 9: 2-4 “And after six days Jesus took with him Peter and James and John, and led them up a high mountain by themselves. And He was transfigured before them, and his clothes became radiant, intensely white, as no one on earth could bleach them. And there appeared to them Elijah with Moses, and they were talking with Jesus.”
* Hebrews 1:3-4, 8, 10-12 “He [Jesus] is the radiance of the glory of God and the exact imprint of his nature, and He upholds the universe by the word of his power. After making purification for sins, He sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high…But of the Son he says, ‘Your throne, O God, is forever and ever, the scepter of uprightness is the scepter of your kingdom’… And, ‘You, Lord, laid the foundation of the earth in the beginning, and the heavens are the work of your hands; they will perish, but you remain; they will all wear out like a garment, like a robe you will roll them up, like a garment they will be changed. But You are the same, and your years will have no end.’”
Hymn: Silent Night
1 Silent night, holy night,
All is calm, all is bright
Round yon virgin mother and child!
Holy Infant so tender and mild,
Sleep in heavenly peace,
Sleep in heavenly peace.
2 Silent night, holy night,
Darkness flies, all is light;
Shepherds hear the angels sing,
"Alleluia! hail the King!
Christ the Savior is born,
Christ the Savior is born.”
3 Silent night, holy night,
Son of God, love's pure light
Radiant beams from Thy holy face,
With the dawn of redeeming grace,
Jesus, Lord, at Thy birth,
Jesus, Lord, at Thy birth.
4 Silent night, holy night,
Wondrous star, lend the light;
With the angels let us sing
Alleluia to our King;
Christ the Savior is born,
Christ the Savior is born.

Day 13 ~ December Blessings: Approaching Time
As we experience different seasons in our lives, I pray you can be deeply encouraged and strengthened by God.
* John 7:6, 8, 30 “Jesus said to them, ‘My time has not yet come, but your time is always here. The world cannot hate you, but it hates Me because I testify about it that its works are evil. You go up to the feast. I am not going up to this feast, for My time has not yet fully come’...So they were seeking to arrest Him, but no one laid a hand on Him, because His hour had not yet come.”
* Ecclesiastes 3:1 “For everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven.”
* Daniel 2:20-22 “Daniel answered and said: 'Blessed be the name of God forever and ever, to whom belong wisdom and might. He changes times and seasons; He removes kings and sets up kings; He gives wisdom to the wise and knowledge to those who have understanding; He reveals deep and hidden things; He knows what is in the darkness, and the light dwells with Him.'”
* Ephesians 1:9-10 “…making known to us the mystery of his will, according to his purpose, which he set forth in Christ as a plan for the fullness of time, to unite all things in Christ, things in heaven and things on earth in Him.”
* Matthew 24:45 & Luke 12:42 “Who then is the faithful and wise servant, whom his master has set over his household, to give them their food at the proper time?”
PRAYER: Colossians 1:9-14 “I pray that you will be filled with the knowledge of God‘s will, in all spiritual wisdom and understanding so as to walk in a manner worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing him: bearing fruit in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God; being strengthened with all power, according to His glorious might, for all endurance and patience with joy; giving thanks to the Father, who has qualified you to share in the inheritance of the saints in light. He has delivered us from the domain of darkness and transferred us to the kingdom of His beloved Son, in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins.”

Love ~ Value ~ Purpose
By Amy Myers
Love ~ Value ~ Purpose guides you to places of healing and hope, and lets you discover treasures you're not often encouraged to imagine. In this book, you can wonder about who you are, why you have areas of joy from long ago that seem inaccessible, or even disappointments…some from injury and others when we seek something that felt real but was just a moment of pleasure.
Love ~ Value ~ Purpose will take you on a journey to look at larger questions of “Why am I here?” and more personal questions of “Why do I think of myself this way?” Weaved throughout the book are stories of compassion, hope, and healing from true events.
You can know deep love.
You can find your value.
You can discover your life of purpose.
